Violent Faith: Heaven Responds to Audacity

Mother’s Day was nothing short of a divine disruption. It felt as though heaven itself paused and leaned closer as two anointed women of God led us with power , our very own Pastor Flavia Murugi, full of grace and insight, and the multifaceted Dr. Pastor Chioma Ibezim from Nigeria, a living embodiment of kingdom truth and power. With unapologetic authority, Pastor Chioma reminded us that you are the product of your words. From both voices came a resounding, Spirit-breathed truth: The Kingdom of God doesn’t move forward through comfort or silence, but through revelation, faith, and intentional pursuit.

Pastor Flavia reminded us that advancing the Kingdom means moving forward in a purposed way, deliberate, intentional, and equipped. Referencing (Matthew 11:2–15), she painted a vivid picture of what it means when scripture says the Kingdom of God suffers violence. This violence, she explained, speaks of the intense spiritual warfare that exists between God’s original plan and the fallen nature of man. From the moment sin entered, a battle began, a war between the finished work of Christ and the limited understanding of mankind. Even when John the Baptist came, the war had not yet been won. But because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, we now rise as courageous, audacious people, charged with the victory of Christ, called to take our place in this advancing Kingdom.

She likened Kingdom advancement to how armies prepare for war. Before any move is made, they gather intelligence, studying the enemy’s patterns, weaknesses, and gaps. For us in the Kingdom, that intelligence is the truth of God’s Word. It is our advantage, our freedom. We are seated higher than the angels, chosen and dearly loved. But with this position comes responsibility. We must ensure we’re in right standing with God, wearing our breastplate of righteousness, because the enemy is always looking for legal ground. Before we shout victory, we must first be sure we’re rightly aligned. Communication, another key strategy in war, mirrors the gospel we carry, not just declarations of success, but peace that transforms. Deception? It’s countered by the shield of faith. And adaptation, as soldiers know, is all about mindset. In the Kingdom, this is the helmet of salvation, our ability to align our thoughts with the mind of Christ.

Still, Pastor Flavia didn’t shy away from the honest truth: even those who are advancing will face moments of discouragement. Like John the Baptist and Elijah, we sometimes wrestle with unmet expectations. But faith doesn’t flinch. Paul didn’t stop believing even in chains. Our righteousness, our shield, and our salvation aren’t shaken by circumstances. They anchor us, remind us that in this Kingdom, we always come out winning.

Then came second service, and with it, a divine shift.Dr Pastor Chioma Ibezim, a guest minister from Nigeria, took us deeper into the same scripture, (Matthew 11:12), and revealed another layer. She described this “violence” as the transition from law to grace. Grace didn’t judge by works. It came by the blood, the precious blood of Jesus that redeemed us, not just spiritually, but physically, even redeeming the land that was cursed in Eden. She revealed how Genesis 2 explains Genesis 1, and when God asked Eve what she had done, she blamed the serpent. The serpent was cursed. The ground was cursed. But man, man was not cursed. Instead, God gave a seed, and declared that if a woman would give Him her seed, He would plant redemption. That’s why women carry such a critical role in creation.

She cautioned us to watch what we say. “You are the first person who hears your own words,” she said. Words carry weight. The future we will enjoy tomorrow is shaped by the words we release today. The difference between a boy and a man is revelation. The difference between a girl and a woman is encounter. It’s not about followership. You can be in a place for ten years and still miss what a newcomer receives in one moment, because revelation opens doors that time never could. The woman with the issue of blood wasn’t allowed to touch anyone under the law, yet she broke the rules and pressed in because she encountered something greater than tradition. And so we were urged: keep speaking. Don’t stop. Refuse to be refused. The Kingdom is voice-activated. It responds to faith.

Faith is not quiet. Faith dares to rise. When we speak, atmospheres shift. Protocols are broken. Chains are loosed. When men pray, nations rise, just like when Rebekah carried two nations in her womb. There are people sitting in places they were never meant to occupy, simply because the rightful heir stayed silent. We were reminded that the Kingdom of God is looking for people with faith, people who believe despite what they see. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. You are what you say. So what are you saying?

Today, we were reminded that we don’t just serve a powerful God, we are part of a powerful Kingdom. And this Kingdom isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s for those who dare to believe, who speak life, and who are bold enough to take back what rightfully belongs to them. The war is won, but the battle is ours to fight, equipped, aligned, and full of faith. So rise, speak, and advance. The Kingdom is waiting.
