Pastor Donald & Nancy Gichane
Pastor Donald Gichane is the Senior Pastor at Ruach West Assembly.
Donald stepped into his role as Senior Pastor in October 2019, answering the call to lead the first Church-plant of the Purpose Centre Church, known as “Ruach West Assembly,” located in Westlands, Nairobi.
Prior to this, Donald served as an Elder at The Purpose Centre Church since its establishment in 2007, and also held a similar role at Salt and Light Church International while pursuing studies in the United States.
Beyond his pastoral duties, Donald is a seasoned entrepreneur with over two decades of experience spanning various fields including Real Estate, Horticulture, Groundwater Management, Community Development, and Operations Management.
His professional journey began at Living Water International (LWI), a global NGO operating in nearly 30 countries worldwide. Starting in Houston, Texas, Donald later became Operations Head in Kenya, overseeing the successful implementation of over 300 water projects, including several commissioned by the head of state.
However, Donald’s true passion lies in Africa’s emerging markets, particularly in Real Estate. He is currently focused on revolutionizing the real estate sector in Kenya, particularly in the realm of affordable housing, aiming for significant social impact.
Donald holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems Management and a Mass Media degree from Houston Baptist University, Texas, USA.
As a devout Christian, Donald is not only a husband to Nancy Gichane but also a loving father to Maya, Micah, and Mikaela.
