Advancing the Kingdom, Through Righteous Living and Relentless Pursuit

In a world constantly urging us to strive, prove, and chase after fleeting accolades, the kingdom of God calls us to a different pursuit, one rooted not in appearance or performance but in character, righteousness, and total surrender. Elder Andrew Mureithi opened the first service with a resounding reminder that we are not just believers, we are carriers of the Kingdom, and that kingdom must advance through us, not just in words or deeds, but in the very fabric of our character. In the second service, Pastor Donald Gichane stirred the room with a fierce urgency, reminding us that while righteousness anchors the Kingdom within us, we must also be relentless in how we lay hold of it. His message echoed with power, The Kingdom doesn’t respond to casual Christianity; it responds to hunger, desperation, and spiritual aggression.

Matthew 6:32-34 reminds us that the Gentiles, the people of the world, run after these things: food, drink, clothing, and recognition. But for us, the pursuit is different. We don’t chase what has already been given. We don’t strive for what the Father has freely provided. Instead, we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto us. This is not a call to laziness, but an invitation into divine order, where our posture, priorities, and thoughts align with heaven.

Righteousness is not merely a label; it is a life. It is walking in right standing with God, thinking noble thoughts, meditating on what is pure and praiseworthy, and living submitted to His will. It means allowing His word to govern our minds and direct our steps. It means we no longer live by reaction, but by revelation. The light of salvation becomes our path, and peace becomes our portion.

Yet righteousness is not maintained in isolation. It requires accountability for thoughts, words, to actions. Psalms 23:3 “He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” To walk in that path is to be a testimony of God’s working power, not a rebel resisting His guidance. Many are called, but few are chosen, and the chosen are those who yield. Being part of the Kingdom means recognizing its structure: A King, a people, a domain, and a divine order. Isaiah 9:6-7 calls Him the Prince of Peace. That peace is not found in religious routine or half-hearted prayer. It is found in full surrender, when we allow God to rule, not just in the heavens, but in our hearts. Peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of God amid the storm.

There’s a reason many never fully walk in this peace. Rebellion often hides in plain sight, in our refusal to pray, in the avoidance of fellowship, and in ignoring God’s word. But the call remains: trust in the Lord with all your heart. Even when doors are shut and roads seem blocked in peace, shalom offers soundness, safety, and completeness. You were made to walk in that. God desires to use you to advance His Kingdom. But citizenship in this Kingdom requires identity. You must know who you are in Christ. There are rights and privileges reserved for sons and daughters. You don’t need to be a “know-it-all” to be used; you simply need to be yielded. Count it all joy when trials come, they are God’s classroom for equipping Kingdom vessels.

The second service with Pastor Donald Gichane shook the atmosphere with a truth many believers have forgotten: The Kingdom of God is advancing by power, and it is the desperate, not the casual, who take hold of it. Luke 8:43 shows us a woman, unnamed, unclean, and forgotten. Twelve years of bleeding, rejection, and shame. Every penny is gone. Every doctor tried. Yet in her desperation, she pressed.

This Kingdom doesn’t yield to comfort. It responds to hunger. The violent take it by force. It is for those who will crawl through crowds, defy shame, risk rejection, and touch the hem of Jesus’ garment. That woman didn’t need an invitation, she needed healing. And with one touch, virtue left Jesus and entered her. She was healed instantly. Not because of her perfection, but because of her faith. Faith that presses past people. Faith that defies logic. Faith that says, “Even if I can’t speak to Him, I’ll reach for Him.” The pressing will cost you comfort. It will demand intensity. But it will also unlock heaven.

This Kingdom was never designed to be walked in isolation. The enemy’s first strategy is always separation. Get you away from fellowship. Pull you from the Word. Isolate you until you’re defeated. But the Lord is calling His people back into the community, into His Word, into His presence. Eat the Word. Let it become your only light in times of darkness.

Your miracle is not in a crowd, it’s in your press. It’s not in perfect theology, it’s in persistent faith. God doesn’t work well with quitters. The Kingdom is for those who will believe again, even after disappointment. For those who will trust again, even after a delay. The woman with the issue of blood didn’t just receive physical healing; she walked away with her identity restored, shame erased, and a future redeemed.

We are reminded that we are not spectators in this Kingdom; we are participants. The same power that flowed from Jesus is available to those who believe. But you must know who you are. You are a carrier of the Holy Spirit. The administrator of your life is not fear, it is the Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 2:11-12). Walk in that power. Live in it. Share it. Let the world know the God you serve is mighty.

And when it feels like giving up is easier, remember: fear thrives where faith has been silenced. But you have been given a way of escape. Don’t quit. Don’t stop. God is still doing miracles. Live like today is your last. Press like your answer is near. Worship like your breakthrough depends on it.

You were created for more than survival. You were created for Kingdom advancement. And that begins with character, thrives in righteousness, and is sustained by relentless, desperate, burning faith.

So press on, Kingdom carrier. The King is still moving. And you were born to move with Him.
