As Christians, God is the beginning of every aspect of our lives. Just as an artist, God, the master designer, began with a blank canvas in the beginning and created the heavens and the earth.
In the same creative act, God thought about and fashioned you into existence. His assessment of all creation is deemed very good as denoted by the scriptures in Genesis.
You are not just a creation; you are a masterpiece, purposefully designed, and uniquely His own. In the grand plan of creation, God said, “Let us make mankind in our image and likeness.” Thus, you are made in the image of the divine, reflecting His glory.
John in John 1:1 adds that in the beginning, the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word, identified as Jesus, was present initially and became flesh. This year, let us pray for a divine encounter with the Word
In Genesis 2:7, we see the hands-on approach of the Lord God forming man. The Psalmist then asks. What is mankind that God is mindful of? However, he further reveals that God not only cares but has entrusted us with rulership over the works of His hands, placing everything under our feet.
Therefore, embrace your identity as a masterpiece, created with purpose, and recognise the divine encounter awaiting you.
Commit to God in prayer, and seek his face. In everything that you do, begin with God.
